Biography
Bindu De Knock specialises in copyright law, music copyright law, neighbouring rights, trade mark law, design law, trade name law, unfair competition, advertising law and commercial contracts. She represents clients in, among other things, the music and entertainment industry, the art world, creative industries and consumer products (fashion & design). Bindu advises and litigates in the field of intellectual property and contract law, including negotiating and drafting contracts.
Bindu wrote the book Noot voor Noot: an introduction to music law (www.nootvoornoot.com). She is a columnist for DJ Mag and Interface Magazine. She also lectures regularly at music conferences such as the Amsterdam Dance Event and Dancefair. Bindu is a lecturer at the international SAE (School of Audio Engineering) Institute, where she also obtained a diploma in audio engineering. In her spare time she produces music.
Bindu studied at the University of Leiden. Bindu previously worked at NautaDutilh and niche IP firms.
Bindu speaks Dutch, French, English and German.
